01 Reading academy talent

  • The younger the kid, the wider the band — visible from the smallest group and narrowing every year until the exact number at U12/U16
  • the Kid (K) and Teen (T) scales have different caps
  • high talent means better odds, never a guarantee — some fall short, some blow past it

02 The u16 year — sign or lose him

  • u16 is the deciding year: no pro deal and the boy leaves the game for good — he won't reappear elsewhere
  • the signing letter arrives in early June
  • his first pro wage is priced off his current level

03 Youth camps

  • Your academy level unlocks camps abroad, up to 3 per country
  • each camp has its own level — upgrades find better kids and reveal more of other clubs' talents there each season
  • pick countries where football runs deep

04 Poaching + the super agent

  • Kids your camps reveal this season can be poached for a fixed fee — each boy has one price for life — ask today or next year, the number never moves, and a giant selling club (or an elite academy) can simply refuse; a refusal costs nothing and you may try again another season
  • the super agent takes a big fee up front and delivers a kid of the chosen grade within about half a year, one job at a time
  • and beware — other clubs can poach ours too

05 Federation MOUs

  • A big-money deal with a small federation lifts the talent of every newborn prospect in that nation for a decade of seasons
  • hold at most 2
  • results take 5-8 years — this buys the next decade, not next season

06 Youth sides and real minutes

  • Youth leagues give kids real competitive minutes — and those minutes feed development in full
  • the first team can call a boy up from any age group when the moment comes
  • a kid too good for his level but short of minutes is a loan waiting to happen
