02 Why won't he even talk to us?
- Players (and managers) measure themselves against our club's level — anyone far above us simply won't pick up
- the only fix is raising the club: results, a higher league, reputation
- high-talent kids listen sooner, because they buy the project, not the present
03 The negotiation table — finish what you start
- A purchase has two tables: agree the fee with the club, then terms with the player
- an unfinished deal always pulls you back to the table — nothing dangles
- you can walk away, at the cost of a short cooling-off before trying again
04 Release clauses
- Set at signing or renewal, three tiers against his value — lower buys a wage discount, higher guards against raids
- any club paying the figure takes him instantly, no veto
- every window brings a clause-hunting sweep — set the number with that day in mind
05 Bid wars
- When rivals fight your bid, a bid-war letter arrives naming the wage that guarantees him — raise the package to that figure and he's certainly yours
- decline and he goes to a club hidden behind the curtain
- it falls due the same day, so answer before moving on
06 Loans, sales and sell-ons
- Up to 5 loans in at once
- loaning out buys a kid minutes while sharing his wage
- big permanent sales carry an automatic 10% sell-on for us — and pricey young signings usually arrive with one owed to their old club, so check before reselling
- mind the just-moved flag too: recent arrivals rarely fancy another move for a while
07 Pre-contracts — signing for free
- A player inside the final half-year of his deal can agree a pre-contract at no fee — he joins free when it expires
- we may sign three this way per season (rival clubs get fewer the smaller they are) — free is the most fought-over price in football
08 ⚡ Auto-accepting offers
- Set from the player profile ▸ transfer status — four modes Accept at price = any bid reaching your floor closes at once Plain loans auto = ordinary loan bids accepted, buy-option loans still come to you Accept everything = bids and loans alike Loans incl. option = every loan bid accepted Works only while the window is open
- the ⚡ badge on the profile shows it is armed — point at it for the mode and price
09 When a bigger club calls
- When a bigger club bids, the player may ask to go with it — the «wants to go» chip on the letter
- turn it down and his happiness drops, but he will not ask again for about four months
- accept and the deal runs as normal
- unhappy players ask more readily
