The manager market — weigh your current boss against the whole field, employed and unemployed alike. Use it when you're ready for a change, or just to check how good what you have really is.
Top strip — your current manager: rating, win record, contract remaining (red frame when it's nearly up), and his attitude to your interference · Filter row — level, nation, age, style, employment status, preferred shape, wage band, plus a "only those who'd talk to us" switch that starts on · Main table — rating, win %, preferred shape, personality, current club, release fee, and a hire or approach button per row
Hiring a free agent costs only wages; approaching an employed manager adds his release fee — weigh both routes before deciding · If your manager's deal is nearly up and he's doing well, renew from the top strip before he walks for nothing
You must release the current manager before hiring — while the seat is taken every hire button in the table is locked, and sacking costs severance on the remaining deal · the wage column is what his current club pays him, not what he'll ask of us — the real figure comes at the table · switch off «only willing to talk» and greyed rows appear with a reason chip: walked away from us / retiring / still hurt by our sacking / unsettled where he is / won't drop to our level / won't step down from a bigger club
